Man United is concerned about Aaron Wan-fitness Bissaka's ahead of the season opener against Leeds United.
This time, it's Aaron Wan-Bissaka who is putting United's health at jeopardy. The report comes from ESPN, who claims that the vital defender has had a training issue.
Despite traveling to Scotland for United's training camp, Wan-Bissaka has been assigned to an individual training program.
However, there is some good news: United are hopeful that their star right-back will be fit and ready to play against Leeds United in less than two weeks.
Wan-Bissaka, who played in all three pre-season games so far, was among United's leading minutes scorers in 2020/21.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, on the other hand, will be concerned. United don't have a lot of depth at fullback, especially with Alex Telles out for the foreseeable future. Then there's Brandon Williams and Diogo Dalot, both of whose futures at Old Trafford are in jeopardy.
Even if Wan-Bissaka appears to be in good shape, you don't want to start a new season nursing an injury. It's never a good sign over the course of a long, arduous season, and while Wan-Bissaka is a tough kid, this isn't ideal.
Wan-Bissaka should be feeling better in the near future, and ideally, he'll play some part against Everton this weekend – United's final pre-season match before the regular season begins a week later.
