Red Devils finally moves for this world star at advanced stage

Red Devils move for Ruben Neves at advanced stage

According to rumors, Manchester United's pursuit of Wolves midfielder, Ruben Neves is nearing completion.

This summer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already welcomed Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford, and Raphael Varane is likely to complete his transfer from Real Madrid in the coming days.

United's business isn't over yet, with Solskjaer reportedly looking for a central midfielder as well.

Paul Pogba's future is uncertain, with PSG pursuing the France international.

The 28-year-United old's contract expires in a year, and he might be sold before the transfer window shuts next month.

The Red Devils' interest in Neves, though, precedes reports that Paul Pogba is on his way to Paris.

United is also thought to be interested in Leon Goretzka and Saul Niguez, according to reports.

However, Eurosport transfer specialist Dean Jones believes that a move for Ruben Neves is "fairly down the road."

He told The Football Terrace podcast, "I just haven't heard a much about Saul Niguez personally."

“As a result, I'm having trouble evaluating that one. So, based on the information I've received, and it all depends on your sources, I know for a certainty that they like Neves, that they've been working on it in the background, and that it's a long way off.

“And if they want to go forward with it, they can because the groundwork has already been done.

“I'm not sure how much weight Saul Niguez carries, so it's tough for me to say

“There's enough evidence out there to believe there's something to it, but I'm skeptical because it's Saul Niguez, and this has occurred before.

DON'T MISS:

Many United supporters want to see the team add a midfielder to their ranks, as they believe Fred and Scott McTominay aren't talented enough to win the Premier League.

That must be United's goal, given their strong start to the summer transfer season.
