According to a source, Manchester United have signed Jadon Sancho and are close to completing a deal for Raphael Varane, but they are still interested in Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior.

Sancho was ultimately signed for £73 million earlier this month, and France defender Varane is also set to be unveiled soon. So much so that on Wednesday night, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was pleased to talk about the superb center-back.

The World Cup winner from France has signed a four-year contract with the possibility of a fifth season. After completing his medical after quarantine, he will sign the contract.

Solskjaer stated, "Of course, we're very thrilled that we've managed to get an agreement with Real Madrid."

“The medical should be fine, and he's a proven winner,” says the coach. He's a player we've been following for a long time.

“I know Sir Alex Ferguson (Ferguson) was on the verge of signing him. So we've got him at the other end of his career this time.

“He's proven throughout his career to be a nice person, first and foremost, a professional, and he's won everything there is to win. I'm overjoyed that we were able to get both of our players in.”

United's summer business, on the other hand, may not come to an end there. They appear to be interested in Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior.

According to the Daily Mirror, Madrid offered to bolster United's attacking ranks by including Vinicius in the Varane transfer earlier this month.

Varane's contract has been kept separate, although AS (via Sport Witness) claims United is keeping an eye on him.

Real's problem is that Gareth Bale is now regarded a non-EU player as a result of Brexit. Los Blancos now have four players in their roster, and with a limit of three, someone will have to make way.

Real, which leased Bale to Spurs last season, is hoping it will be Bale. His salary, on the other hand, make him an unappealing prospect.

Real Madrid's negotiating clout

As a result, Vinicius's future is being scrutinized. Real may view the 21-year-old as a valuable negotiating tool in their recruitment plans, according to reports.

United have a “interest” in the player, according to the Spanish site, although he is more likely to stay at the Bernabeu.

Los Blancos are allegedly looking for £68.5 million for the winger.

With two major deals now completed, a third deal this summer may be out of the question for United. Sancho, Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Daniel James, Anthony Martial, and Edinson Cavani are already available for attack.

With Ruben Neves linked, they may have shifted their focus to a midfield addition.

Vinicius is seen as the "second-best choice" for the former Flamengo great.

Staying at the Bernabeu is the most popular option.
