Presnel Kimpembe, a PSG defender, has shrugged aside reports that the Parisians are interested in signing Paul Pogba.
On local television, Kimpembe joked with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba about joining him at PSG.
Pogba has remained tight-lipped about the transfer rumors circulating around him ahead of France's Euro 2020 campaign, claiming that his sole attention is on Les Blues and their desire to follow up their 2018 World Cup victory with a European title.
Kimpembe insists that the PSG chat was purely for the cameras and that no one in the camp has discussed transfer rumors.
Indeed, he argues that the TV show has been all in good humor, saying at a news conference in France, via Le 10 Sport: "I didn't tell him about it. He's a big lad who doesn't need anyone to help him make a decision. Any club would be delighted to have him.
"It's all up to him, his agency, and his future team."
Pogba enjoys the respect of the whole France squad, according to Kimpembe, who has declared United's No. 6 a dressing room leader without the need for the captain's armband.
He went on to say: "We're also aware of his abilities as a natural leader. When we have to talk, he will not say govern; instead, he will do it naturally.
"He always says the perfect thing at the right time."
On Tuesday, France will face Germany in the first match of the Euro 2020 qualifying tournament.
