Kieran Trippier's transfer stance emerges - and it's bad news for one Man Utd youngster

According to sources, Kieran Trippier has placed Manchester United on notice by announcing his intention to enter the Premier League this summer.

The Red Devils are expected to make a run for the right-back, which may have a detrimental impact on Brandon Williams.

DON'T MISS:

This summer, United will launch their quest for a backup right-back.

Last season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward attempted but failed to sign a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Instead, they signed Alex Telles, a Brazilian international who will be Luke Shaw's understudy.

Following the swap, Williams was supposed to move to the right side to serve as a backup.

And now, with the announcement that Trippier is about to join Manchester United, he might be out of luck once more.

According to The Athletic, the Atletico Madrid defender is thinking of quitting this season.

Despite competition from PSG, he is leaning toward a return to the Premier League.

As a consequence, he could join United as a replacement for Wan-Bissaka.

But it will be poor news for Williams, who is already looking for his first-team debut.

DON'T MISS:

Shaw, 20, has impressed anytime he's been offered a shot with the first team, but he's actually enjoying the best season of his career.

On the other flank, Wan-Bissaka is unstoppable, leaving the youngster with few options.

There have been reports that Williams will look to leave this summer, with Southampton reportedly interested.

Norwich City has also been associated with him ahead of their Premier League comeback.

When the summer trade window opens, the Canaries are likely to lose star player Max Aarons.

Arsenal and Bayern Munich have both expressed interest in the young Englishman.

And his departure could open the door for Williams to get away from Old Trafford and get regular first-team football under his belt.
