Manchester United's weekend win over Tottenham looked historic.
If you couldn't quite put your finger on why it may be that this was Manchester United's first-ever away victory over a Jose Mourinho team.
DON'T MISS:
Sir Alex Ferguson was never able to pull it off.
He only defeated Mourinho three times out of sixteen.
Fergie's number was always dialed by the Portuguese manager.
When Ferguson's Manchester United did win, it was always at home.
Away from home, there were losses at Porto and Chelsea, as well as draws at Inter and Real Madrid.
Both David Moyes and Louis van Gaal were defeated by a Mourinho-led United team in their sole appearances as coaches.
After a draw last season, Solskjaer is undefeated in two games, securing an overdue victory for United away from Mourinho as the Red Devils defeated Tottenham 3-1.
DON'T MISS:
Give Mourinho credit; he consistently makes his teams difficult to beat, especially at home.
When he was the boss of Manchester United, he was scarcely defeated at Old Trafford.
That's why the Champions League last-16 loss to Sevilla in 2018 came as such a surprise.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has undoubtedly had it better than Fergie.
Tottenham was Mourinho's worst team during his coaching career.
However, this does not detract from the praise Solskjaer deserves.
His Manchester United side dominated Tottenham at the weekend, winning 3-1.
