'Ridiculous now'... Some Manchester United fans fed up with treatment of £35m star

'It's ridiculous now...' Some Manchester United fans are fed up with the treatment of the £35 million stars.

Manchester United fans are concerned about Donny van de Beek following a double snub.

Manchester United have utilized four different center midfield combinations in their first two games, and Donny van de Beek has yet to play.

Against Leeds, Fred, and Scott McTominay. The game against Southampton was started by Fred and Nemanja Matic.

The game then moved on to Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic, before concluding with Jesse Lingard and McTominay. Meanwhile, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes have started both games.

Van van Beek was once again an unused substitute against Southampton, making him United's only senior midfielder who has yet to feature this season.

While bringing on Lingard when seeking a goal has validity, the fact that Van de Beek has not had a touch in the first two games suggests he is further down the pecking order than anyone would like.

    What's the problem?

This season, both United fans and Van de Beek hoped for a different outcome. The Dutchman returned to pre-season training earlier than Pogba, Fred, and Fernandes, and was even awarded captaincy late in one pre-season friendly.

One day before the season begins, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer talked favorably about Van de Beek's improved physical training.

Van van Beek began United's final pre-season friendly, a 4-0 victory over Everton, and it appeared he would start the opener.

While going with Fred and McTominay was unexpected, it was understandable, and the outcome justified it.

Changing things up against Southampton was always a possibility, and we anticipated Van de Beek to come in instead of Nemanja Matic.

Matic failed to justify his starting spot, and the most frustrating aspect of both games was not just that Van de Beek did not start, but he also did not come off the bench.

Van de Beek will be frustrated at this point, even if he does not show it. When they are not playing, no footballer is happy.

Next, United travel to Wolves, where Van de Beek excelled in a deep role at the conclusion of last season.

Solskjaer should consider him for this game, even if it means relying on yet another midfield partnership after only three games.

United paid £35 million for Van de Beek last summer, and despite their present reluctance to recruit another midfielder, the club must give the Dutchman a fair chance.

In United's final pre-season encounter, Van de Beek appeared to have cracked it ahead of the season. He seemed to have returned to square one. Next weekend could be the chance he's been looking for; let's hope he takes it if he gets it.

    United supporters are dissatisfied.

Here are some of the things United fans have been saying about Donny van de Beek on social media...

Donny Van de Beek has no future at Manchester United if he can't get a kick ahead of Fred and Matic, and even a slightly injured McTominay came on ahead of him. The game is over.

What does Van de Beek have to do man?

I’m just fed up with him not playing, we need to get control of the game and VDB is a great option for that. The man is being underused so much 🙁

Van De Beek reminds me of a great pair of shoes you buy..keep them in the wardrobe afraid you'll ruin them and you never get around to wearing them. Wear the damn shoes, Ole. Please. Just once. If they're uncomfortable just put them on Ebay and let the shoes move on.
