Man Utd star Amad loan '90 per cent decided' with two clubs 'pushing hard' to sign him

Man Utd star Amad loan '90 per cent decided' with two clubs 'pushing hard' to sign him

Amad is '90%' set to leave Manchester United on loan in the next weeks, with two clubs apparently vying for his signature.

Last October, the Ivorian forward joined the Red Devils on deadline day before joining Atalanta until the January transfer window.

Following his £37 million departure from Italy, Amad was given the go-ahead to go to England to link up with his new team mates at the turn of the year.

Last season, he appeared four times for United in the Europa League, scoring his first goal for the club against AC Milan at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also gave him the opportunity to shine in three Premier League games, with Amad registering an assist on his domestic debut in a 2-1 loss to Leicester.

Jadon Sancho's arrival from Borussia Dortmund has only reduced Amad's chances of playing more minutes this season, implying that a loan move could benefit both sides.

According to Fabrizio Romano, both Basel and Crystal Palace are keen on signing the 19-year-old on loan.

He stated to The United Stand: "I mention Basel and Crystal Palace because I've been told that they're the two clubs vying for his signature.

"Basel, in particular, is very insistent, but I believe the player wants to try something in different nations and leagues.

"Perhaps in the Premier League or perhaps the Bundesliga, as German clubs are interested in signing Amad.

"It's a fairly open position, and he's not in a hurry to make a decision.

"He will move on loan, he will go on loan, it is not yet obvious which club he wants to join.

"He wants to make a decision with his agency and his family, and he wants to be certain not only about the personal side, but also about football.

"It's also about the city, where he wants to stay and strive to improve himself."

Amad also missed pre-season with United after returning from the Olympic Games with Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile, after scoring in the win over Derby, fellow wide winger Facundo Pellistri has been loaned back to Alaves.

The former Atalanta sensation is now set to follow the Uruguayan out the door to get more senior experience.

In the attacking pecking order, Marcus Rashford, Sancho, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, and Daniel James all appear to be ahead of the duo.
