Manchester United may not make a bid for Pape Matar Sarr right away.

According to Fabrizio Romano's interview with The United Stand (h/t Express), Manchester United are not in a rush to sign Pape Matar Sarr.

According to Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol (h/t Express), Metz's president flew down to Stanstead airport earlier this week to discuss a prospective move for the 18-year-old with three Premier League clubs.

While it is unclear whether Premier League clubs were involved, United has been connected with the midfielder this summer, but it appears that they have merely been ‘scouting' the Senegalese.

According to Romano (through The United Stand):

“When I inquire about this type of player, I am told that Manchester United is scouting him. I don't view it as imminent, but it could be a future possibility.

“It's one of the most intriguing players in France right now at this position. It's something that other clubs are interested in, but it's not something that will happen in the next few hours.”

The 18-year-old is an outstanding talent who, like Sadio Mane and Ismaila Sarr, is a product of the Generation Foot Academy, which has produced incredible Senegalese talent over the years.

Sarr signed a five-year contract with Metz last September, but it appears that the wonder kid is already on the move, with Manchester United, City, and Chelsea all showing interest.

However, it is also said that all three teams, including Manchester United, are prepared to buy the youngster and loan him back to Metz in order to entice the club into making an offer this summer. (With thanks to Mail)

The teenager earned 22 games in Ligue 1 last season and made his national team debut in March of this year, demonstrating that he is already punching above his weight.

The Senegalese are a tremendous midfield talent, and while United is only scouting him for the time being, they should sign him before other clubs do.
