Roy Keane has been speaking with former Manchester United teammate Gary Neville on the right-new back's YouTube channel and admits that he regrets requesting to swap clothes with one of the players.

Roy Keane, an ex-Manchester United defender, has highlighted one player he wishes he hadn't asked to swap clothes with.

The former Manchester United captain spoke on Sky Sports analyst Gary Neville's YouTube channel, where he discussed his playing days, coaching career, and the present condition of football.

Keane is the latest in a string of high-profile interviews for the former right-back, following appearances on 'The Overlap' by England captain Harry Kane, boxing heavyweight Anthony Joshua, and 100m sprinter Dina Asher-Smith.

And, while out on a lovely dog walk with his former teammate, Keane admitted that one of his regrets from his time with Ireland is asking to swap shirts in a warm-up game against Germany in 1994:

"When I played Germany with Ireland, I requested one player to swap a jersey, which I regret," Keane stated on Neville's YouTube channel.

"We played Germany in a friendly match prior to the 1994 World Cup. To be fair, we'd beaten them, and I was being cordial after the game.

The encounter was memorable for the Republic of Ireland, which was preparing for their second World Cup in a row under great manager Jack Charlton.

For the first time in their existence, the Boys in Green advanced to the round of 16 before being defeated 2-0 by the Netherlands.

But the incident put Keane off trading shirts in the future; the 50-year-old said there was only one other time he pondered swapping jerseys, and that was for France star Zinedine Zidane:

"After that, I was like, yeah, it's dumb swapping jerseys," Keane remarked.

"Zidane, I recall playing him with United. Outstanding performer. And as we were heading up after the Madrid game, I was staring at him and he was gazing at me.

"I was expecting him to ask me, but we didn't, and I'm glad."
