Manchester United's Luke Shaw is back in training. The good news is that this is the case.

The bad news is that the left-back does not look to be fully recovered.

Shaw was photographed with his teammates at United's training camp in Scotland as the squad prepares for the new season.

He was also seen with his wounded left wrist still in a cast.

Shaw's wrist injury isn't significant enough to keep him out of the lineup, which is a comfort given Alex Telles' ankle issue.

Shaw played in Euro 2020 despite his torn wrist ligaments, despite fears that he would be forced to withdraw due to the injury.

DON'T MISS:

“I've just torn the ligaments across the top of my wrist,” the United defender told Talksport at the time. It's not too awful; there's no break, just a torn ligament.

“I was a little concerned because I feared that if it was the terrible one, I would have to undergo surgery or something.

“He didn't say anything, which made me nervous, but I got the findings the next morning, and it wasn't as awful as they anticipated, so I was fine.”

Shaw would be in the final stages of his recovery from a wrist ligament injury, which can take up to ten weeks to repair. The cast is only there to protect you.

DON'T MISS:

An injury that is not immediately obvious will be of greater concern.

According to the New York Times, Shaw played the knockout stages of Euro 2020 with damaged ribs, which will take time to heal. Despite this, he was able to continue playing and perform admirably, although United will not want to aggravate the injury.

With less than two weeks till the start of the season, United will be reliant on Shaw at left-back. I'm hoping he can get as near to 100% as feasible.
