The summer transfer season has started off well for Manchester United.

Manchester United manager John Murtough is still trying to add players for the right-back and central midfield positions before the transfer season close.

Jadon Sancho has already arrived from Borussia Dortmund, and Raphael Varane has agreed to a deal in principle. So, if Kieran Trippier and Saul Niguez also sign on the dotted line, Express Sport will take a look at their frightening starting XI.

Henderson is the goalkeeper.

Manchester United is determined to be more aggressive in attack next season.

As a result, it appears that Dean Henderson, rather than David De Gea, will be their starting goalkeeper.

The England international's passing range complements Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's game strategy, allowing United to attack from the front to the back.

De Gea may have to accept a bench spot next season.

And, having returned from Aston Villa on a free transfer, Heaton will be there to provide competition for the pair.

Atletico Madrid's Trippier is a target for United.

And, if United are successful in bringing Trippier to Old Trafford, he will take the position of the former Crystal Palace star.

The remainder of their back four should be able to choose themselves.

Varane and Maguire will play together at centre-back, with Luke Shaw starting ahead of Alex Telles in the left-back position.

Saul, Pogba, and Fernandes play in the midfield.

DON'T MISS:

Fabrizio Romano revealed on The United Stand that the Red Devils are interested in signing Saul.

“Manchester United has been in contact with Sal Niguez's agent - they are interested in the player and consider him to be ‘one of the biggest opportunities on the market,'” he stated.

“A deal will be done for €40-45 million, but no bid has been submitted yet.”

If Saul enters the team, he'll most likely come in ahead of Fred and Scott McTominay.

He'd also provide defensive cover for Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba, allowing them to move freely.

Sancho, Cavani, and Rashford are the forwards.

Marcus Rashford will take his spot on the left wing back when he recovers from injury.

However, Anthony Martial is set to fill in for the England international when he undergoes long-overdue shoulder surgery.

Sancho will play on the right wing.

It's an area where the club has suffered since Cristiano Ronaldo's departure in 2009, yet after all these years, the former Borussia Dortmund star is considered as the solution.

And, in the midfield, Edinson Cavani should be for the majority of the games after the Uruguayan international elected to stay after initially seeming set to join Boca Juniors.

Solskjaer discusses the Sancho and Varane transfers.

Solskjaer recently stated that he was pleased with the arrivals of Sancho and Varane, saying that the club has shown "ambition."

He said, "I'm quite thrilled getting both of our players in."

“First and foremost, the club has showed ambition by signing one of the most exciting young forwards in the world [Jadon Sancho], as well as one of the most renowned and successful centre-backs in the world.

“Of course, with him in, we have other methods of playing, and I can see different ways of playing with Raphael,” says the coach.

“I can't wait to get him in, and hopefully we'll be able to get that taken care of as quickly as possible.”
