Manchester United will benefit from Jadon Sancho's arrival in more ways than one, according to his former coach, who explains how he will help others around him.

Earlier this month, United officially announced an agreement in principle for the Borussia Dortmund star. The news brought an end to a year-long transfer quest, but the Red Devils are certain he will be worth the wait.

DON'T MISS:

Despite his £73 million price tag, Sancho has established himself as a dangerous attacking force in the Bundesliga, scoring goals and assisting on numerous occasions.

Furthermore, at the age of 21, he may provide ten or more years of service, with the potential to improve with time.

Rio Ferdinand, an ex-Manchester United defender, has warned of Sancho's impact on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team.

However, according to his former coach Louis Lancaster, the winger will help those around him. As a result, he could help United win trophies by providing more than just his own game.“First and foremost, he'll bring goals and assists,” Lancaster, who worked with Sancho as a teenager at Watford, told the Stretford Paddock. He's no longer a one-season wonder; he's proven that he's been consistent.

“His numbers are insane; I believe he averages one goal or assist per game.

“He has the most successful dribbles in Europe, as well as the most box entries, so that's where he'll shine.

DON'T MISS:

But I believe Jadon's best quality is his ability to improve other people's games. So, despite spending money and signing one player, I believe you will get a better Bruno [Fernandes], a better Pogba, and a better [Edinson] Cavani.

“I believe that giving value to other people's games is his strongest skill.”

Last season, Pogba was inarguably at his best in a United shirt. Meanwhile, Fernandes set the Premier League record for most goals scored in all competitions in a season by a midfielder.

Cavani struggled for fitness at first, but the striker found form towards the end of the campaign.

Sancho will join having netted 20 goals and supplied 20 others in 2019/20. Despite struggling in the first half of the last term, he ended up with 16 goals and 20 assists.

Elsewhere, United full-back Brandon Williams is reportedly closing in on a loan move to Southampton.

The left-back has struggled for minutes following Luke Shaw’s resurgence and Alex Telles’ arrival.

As such, he could finally get a long-awaited move away for Premier League minutes
