More young players are expected to depart Manchester United on loan before the transfer market closes, but only after they have played a key role in the club's pre-season.
With COVID-19 limitations still in effect around the world, United will remain in the United Kingdom until the start of our Premier League season on August 14th.

With many key players unavailable for several weeks due to their participation in Euro 2020 and the Copa America, Academy talent has been brought in to help the first-team squad prepare for the 2021/22 season.
When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sat down for an exclusive interview with club media, he outlined the thinking behind our pre-season program.
“We have six weeks together before the league starts, as well as a couple of training camps in the UK,” the coach explained.
“Being in and around here, we felt that was the most practical thing to do. You don't have to deal with the annoyance of being asked, "Are we green, red, or amber [in terms of traveling abroad]?" It's just the way the world is right now.
“The young kids will definitely be involved in the Derby game [Sunday, July 18th, kick-off 15:00 BST], and then we have a couple of games coming up where they can participate.”
DON'T MISS:
Ole expects more Academy youngsters to sign loan deals, as Tahith Chong (Birmingham City) did last week, as the intensity increases early next month and more senior players return to Carrington following their international commitments.
“As time goes on, more and more European players will join in,” Solskjaer added. “They [the kids] will have a taste of football.” Then, in early August, some will be loaned out.
“We've already lined up a few, and we and the players are currently debating where the best place to go.”
While Ole would have loved to work with the full first-team squad for six weeks, he believes that this current period is a priceless experience for some of our young professionals, as well as an opportunity to bring out the best in the older players with whom they are working.
The CEO remarked, "Pre-season is always a fresh start, a new start with new opportunity to look forward to the season."
“We realize it's a depleted squad because some of the players have just returned from vacation, but it provides the young kids a taste of what it's like to have a proper pre-season with great professionals like Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata in the first team, Lee Grant, and Tom Heaton, who has returned. They've already done it a few times. Mason [Greenwood], Aaron [Wan-Bissaka], and Axel [Tuanzebe] are first-team players who will help these young men develop, and it will be a great opportunity for them.”
