Manchester United may be forced to trade players as they inch closer to obtaining Raphael Varane from Real Madrid and a deal for Kieran Trippier.
The Red Devils have already completed the long-awaited move of Jadon Sancho and are looking to add at least two more players this summer.
DON'T MISS:
As a result, certain players may be less likely to play, potentially allowing them to leave.
As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team looks to balance their squad, here are four individuals that could be on their way out of Old Trafford this summer.
Pereira, Andreas
Andreas Pereira has mainly fallen out of favor under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, especially following the January 2020 signing of Bruno Fernandes.
Pereira spent last season on loan at Lazio, and while the Serie A club wanted to re-sign him, Manchester United wanted a permanent deal, which never happened.
DON'T MISS:
Pereira is unlikely to get into the first squad for the Red Devils, and at the age of 25, he will demand regular first-team play.
Lingard,
Jesse Lingard spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United and performed admirably, earning a place in England's preliminary Euro 2020 team.
He was seldom seen for Manchester United in the first half of the season, and that is unlikely to change, with West Ham showing interest in the player but unwilling to pay a rumoured £30 million to sign him.
Other teams have expressed an interest, with Atletico Madrid the most recent name mentioned, and this transfer story is likely to drag on until the end of the window.
Diogo Dalot
Diogo Dalot, like Lingard and Pereira, spent last season on loan at Milan in Serie A, where he contributed to the club's top-four finish.
Milan's Paolo Maldini has expressed interest in reuniting with Dalot, and United want to sell him permanently rather than loan him out.
Real Madrid is also said to be interested, although any such deal appears improbable, and United will want to offload him because he isn't in Solskjaer's plans.
Telles, Alex
Alex Telles was brought in to compete with Luke Shaw, and while he has done so in some ways, he is clearly second best to a greatly improved Shaw.
Telles has had few chances in the first team since joining from Porto last season, with Solskjaer unable to drop Shaw due to his excellent play for club and country.
After losing the impressive Leonardo Spinazzola to a long-term injury, Jose Mourinho's Roma have expressed interest in Telles, and a deal seems possible.
