Manchester United close to signing the both of them, lets see what will happen!!

Manchester United are allegedly close to finalizing two major transfers, with Raphael Varane and Kieran Trippier expected to join the club.

The Sun reports that the Red Devils have already reached agreements with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, and that the defenders will be announced before the end of next week.

DON'T MISS:

Varane has been a long-term target for United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is looking for a top-flight defensive partner for Harry Maguire.

The Frenchman is in the final year of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu and has stated that he intends to leave in the summer.

Los Merengues are compelled to sanction his exit this summer after failing to persuade their long-serving stalwart to commit his future to the club. This will prevent him from leaving on a free transfer at the conclusion of next season.

Varane has been an ever-present figure for Real Madrid since signing from Lens in 2011. The Red Devils will have to pay roughly £50 million to sign him.

DON'T MISS:

Meanwhile, the Premier League's heavyweights are closing in on a deal to sign Trippier, who is ready to return to his hometown after winning La Liga with Atletico Madrid last season.

Last summer, the 30-year-old right-back joined Diego Simeone's side for £20 million from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 30-year-old appears homesick and wants to go to Old Trafford after fast becoming a constant first-team fixture at Wanda Metropolitano.

United is likely to pay roughly £18 million for his services, thus Atletico will not recoup the money they paid to get him out of London.

The England international will face off against Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a starting spot in Solskjaer's lineup.

The outstanding defensive pairing should help the Red Devils improve on their second-place finish in 2020/21 and provide much-needed consistency at the back for Solskjaer's side.
