Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sends cryptic warning to Man United player

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has issued a cryptic message to an anonymous squad player following his side's latest pre-season friendly against Brentford on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils visited the Bees in what was supposed to be a pre-season friendly, but the fans at Old Trafford were rewarded to two magnificent goals from Anthony Elanga and subsequently Andreas Pereira.

Despite the game finishing in a 2-2 draw, the Red Devils' manager took the time to give a warning to at least one player who has yet to report for pre-season training.

According to MEN writer Samuel Luckhurst, following the game, the Norwegian projected that the nameless player would struggle to earn a place in his matchday squads.

When Solskjaer remarked yesterday night, 'We don't have time to play catch-up,' it felt like he was referring to someone. Whoever arrives late, does not receive a full pre-season, and is unfit when they arrive may find it difficult to make the team.'

DON'T MISS:

A number of supporters have speculated as to who Solskjaer might be referring to in his post-match comments.

Some have speculated that Solskjaer's remarks were directed at French midfielder Paul Pogba.

However, because the manager has refused to elaborate, United fans will have no choice but to wait and watch who Solskjaer selects for next season.
