Man Utd close to signing £51.4m star – Terms already offered

 Man United is close to sealing a deal to sign Varane, according to ESPN, and they believe he can be obtained for a sum of 50 million euros.

 It should be noted that, according to reports in Spain, the Old Trafford club has already presented a contract offer worth £200,000 a week to the 28-year-old, and the 13-time European Champions are seeking a fee of 60 million euros (£51.4 million) for his sale (MD).

United has spent a lot of money on defense over the years, but the situation hasn't really improved.

In the Premier League this season, Solskjaer's side surrendered 36 goals. On the other hand, they allowed 44 goals last season.

 Man United will not be able to fight for the title next season unless they have a consistent defensive record and a solid central defensive combination. They require a top player to partner captain Harry Maguire in central defense, and there are few better options than Raphael Varane.
