Manchester United is behaving like a major club once more. John Murtough is determined to get his tenure as football director off to a flying start, having recruited Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane. So, if Kieran Trippier, Leon Goretzka, and Declan Rice all leave, Express Sport will look at how the Red Devils might line up next season.

Dean Henderson is the goalkeeper.

DON'T MISS:

United are unlikely to transfer David De Gea this summer since the Spain international's exorbitant salaries have put off Europe's elite.

Regardless, the Red Devils are expected to release him in favor of Dean Henderson.

After United's Europa League final loss to Villarreal, it was revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was ready to make the switch, having grown frustrated with De Gea's inconsistency.

Last season, Henderson was given a solid run of games before being benched for the final three games.

Despite being forced to withdraw from Euro 2020 owing to injury, the England international could potentially be in line for a promotion.

Trippier, Varane, Maguire, and Shaw are on defense.

DON'T MISS:

Following his arrival from Porto last year, Alex Telles energized Luke Shaw.

After struggling under both Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, his presence helped the England international regain his mojo.

Solskjaer is hoping for a repeat performance on the other side.

Kieran Trippier remains a target for United, and the 30-year-old will compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a starting spot if he moves to Old Trafford.

Varane will partner Harry Maguire instead of Victor Lindelof if the club completes a move for him, as expected.

Rice, Goretzka, and Fernandes play in the midfield.

United are interested in signing Declan Rice and may use Jesse Lingard as bait, according to recent rumors.

The 22-year-old appears to be a feasible goal, especially given Eduardo Camavinga's willingness to leave Rennes for PSG rather than Solskjaer's side.

Rice would be a step up for both Scott McTominay and Fred, possibly relegating both to the bench.

United is also interested in Leon Goretzka.

Although a deal for the Germany international would be difficult, they have reportedly informed the midfielder's entourage that they want him to replace Paul Pogba.

As a result, Pogba might be replaced by Goretzka.

Sancho, Cavani, and Rashford are the forwards.

Sancho has finally been secured by United.

The Bundesliga giants have now formally announced an agreement with Borussia Dortmund, which was first reported on Wednesday night.

Sancho will play on the right-wing, where he has excelled for the past four years at the Westfalenstadion.

Edinson Cavani will be in the middle, having signed a new one-year contract with the club in May, rejecting Boca Juniors in the process.

Marcus Rashford should be guaranteed to start on the left wing if he can remain fit.
