Man United-Bound Defender 'In Talks' To Buy House From Current Man City Star Sparking Transfer Rumours

Man United-Bound Defender 'In Talks' To Buy House From Current Man City Star Sparking Transfer Rumours

Kieran Trippier, an Atletico Madrid defender and England international, is said to be 'in talks' to buy a home from Manchester City's Raheem Sterling.

Over the last few weeks, the 30-year-old has been widely connected with a move to Manchester United, and the recent information from a British tabloid will almost likely add gasoline to that fire.

DON'T MISS:

However, with Trippier apparently in talks to buy a home from Manchester City star Raheem Sterling, the future of Pep Guardiola's offensive threat could be called into question, with Sterling linked with a move away this summer.

The most recent information comes from an exclusive piece published in the Sun on Saturday night.

According to the Sun, current Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier is in talks to buy a £3 million property from England teammate Raheem Sterling. Trippier is expected to join Manchester United.

The property, which includes five acres of land and a wildlife pond, was purchased by Sterling in 2017, according to the Sun. According to the publication, the five-bedroom house is located in a 'quiet Cheshire hamlet close to Knutsford and surrounded by farmland.'

"Kieran [Trippier] wants to relocate back to the UK from Spain, and if the transfer to Old Trafford goes through, he will need to act swiftly," a person close with the issue said.

DON'T MISS:

“He and Raheem have discussed the house. If Raheem leaves at the same time, it's a no-brainer to sell it to Kieran immediately and privately."

While the narrative is clearly more about Kieran Trippier's future than it is about Raheem Sterling's, some may assume it contains a subtle signal regarding the latter's future.

Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium in recent weeks, as Manchester City seeks cash for a double raid for Tottenham's Harry Kane and Aston Villa's Jack Grealish.

The most likely scenario at the moment is that Raheem Sterling will sign a contract extension this summer, and that the property situation - if it materializes - will only result in Sterling relocating to a new, larger property in the region.
