Harry Maguire's incredible Euro 2020 campaign continued as England advanced to the final.

In a hard-fought encounter in which both teams gave their all, England defeated Denmark in extra time. Harry Kane's late rebounding penalty was the deciding factor.

England's defense was outstanding. While the penalty was fortuitous, England was the superior team, thanks in part to the Three Lions' defensive tenacity.

Maguire turned up a strong performance for the entire 120 minutes, allowing England to hold 58 percent of possession and repeatedly resist Danish advances in the second half.

Maguire won a total of 13 duels while accumulating a total of 112 touches.

 He won nine aerial fights, more than Denmark's entire back five put together.

Maguire also had five interceptions, the same number as the whole Danish defense.

Only three England players managed two or more shots on target, and the United defender was one of them.

Maguire also completed 90% of his passes despite the frenetic nature of the game. He completed 82 passes in the process, the most of any player on the field.

In name, Harry Kane is England's captain, but Harry Maguire is the team's true leader.

United's captain has formed an excellent relationship with John Stones, and they were hardly troubled by Denmark last night.

Even after going down a goal, there was never any sense that England would panic.

Maguire and Shaw, who had so many comebacks with United last season, played a part in this. Without a doubt, they had a significant soothing effect on each other.

The Euro 2020 final is on Sunday and England faces a big test against a confident Italian side. But with Maguire and Shaw playing so well, England has a real chance. Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho may even have a part to play too. It would be great for one of them to have the decisive moment.
