According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United is still determined to maintain hold of Paul Pogba and persuade him to sign a new contract.

As the clock ticks down on his current agreement at Old Trafford, the 28-year-predicament old's has been a constant discussion point in recent months.

Now, according to Italian writer Romano, Manchester United is still hopeful of persuading the midfielder to stay, despite reports that Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to join the fight for his signing.

“What I'm told is that contract talks aren't over yet,” Romano stated on the Here We Go podcast. Manchester United has offered Pogba a new deal in an attempt to keep him. We'll see what occurs in the next days.
