Sky Sports reporter delivers update on Man United’s bid to sign Jadon Sancho

According to Sky Sports writer Dharmesh Sheth, Manchester United's bid to capture Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer is going well.

After failing to sign the England international last summer, the Red Devils are once again being linked with a deal to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.

DON'T MISS:

Manchester United are expected to make a number of significant new signings this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer attempts to assemble a team capable of fighting for the Premier League title next season.

Sancho is widely regarded as one of Europe's most promising young offensive prospects, and it appears that Manchester United is getting closer to completing a deal to buy him.

Reporter Sheth has now disclosed that his sources have told him that talks between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are proceeding, with the Red Devils hoping to complete a deal as soon as possible.

“The information I'm hearing this afternoon is that Manchester United do still in discussion with Borussia Dortmund regarding the transfer of Jadon Sancho,” Sheth stated on Sky Sports Transfer Centre.

DON'T MISS:

“While there is still a price difference between what Manchester United wants to pay and what Borussia Dortmund wants, conversations are progressing in the correct path. Those were the words that were spoken to me.

“This summer, all sides are more optimistic than they were last summer about getting a deal done.

“We believe a transaction worth roughly £80 million may be concluded. Sancho's contract is slated to expire in two years, and they don't want it to be cut short in the last year.”

Sancho was in excellent form for Dortmund last season, scoring 16 goals and assisting 14 times in all competitions.
