Portugal thrashed Israel 4-0 in their final warm-up match before Euro 2020, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes scoring both goals.

Joao Cancelo, a Manchester City defender, also shone as Portugal dominated the match at an empty Jose Alvalade Stadium from start to finish.

DON'T MISS:

Three minutes before halftime, Cancelo's right-wing cross found Manchester United midfielder Fernandes, who placed the ball low into the net with one touch.

Two minutes later, Fernandes helped his captain Ronaldo, who rifled a shot past Israel goalkeeper Ofir Marciano.

It was the Juventus striker's 104th goal for Portugal in 175 appearances, bringing him within five goals of Ali Daei's record for most goals in international football.

DON'T MISS:

In the 86th minute, Cancelo scored another goal for Fernando Santos' side, cutting inside from the right flank and curling the ball into the far corner with his left foot.

In additional time, Fernandes concluded an excellent individual performance with a powerful solo strike of his own.

In Group F, which also includes Germany and world champions France, the holders begin their tournament defense against Hungary on June 15 in Budapest.
