Because of post-Brexit laws, Manchester United has an advantage in Kieran Trippier's pursuit.
Manchester United could gain in their pursuit of Kieran Trippier, according to the Manchester Evening News, thanks to a new transfer rule enacted this summer as a result of Brexit.
The Red Devils enter the summer knowing that they must make the proper decisions in order to advance to the next level. Last season, United fell short on a number of fronts, exposing our team's flaws.
During the summer, we were associated with a number of new players, which is maybe unsurprising. Kieran Trippier is one of them, and he will provide Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a new option at right-back.
The 30-year-old, who is presently representing England at the Euros, had a fantastic season with Atletico Madrid. He was not only instrumental in their league victory, but he was also named to the La Liga team of the year.
After two years in Spain, the veteran is eager to return to United. United and Atletico are currently far apart in their assessments of the player. The latter, on the other hand, may find themselves in hot water as a result of post-Brexit regulations.
Following the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union earlier this year, La Liga changed its rules regarding foreign players. Non-EU players are now deemed to be from England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, and they occupy one of the two spots given to each club in the Spanish league.

Is it possible to force Atletico's hand?
The regulation was set to take effect at the end of January. The clubs and the league, however, agreed to postpone it until the start of the new season. As a result, Trippier will be regarded a non-EU player for Atletico Madrid from June 30.
The Spanish champions are in a pickle regarding Trippier, with defenders Filipe and Renan Lodi already classified as non-EU players. They'll either have to sell one of the three players or leave them out of the registered squad for next season.
The longer it goes on, the better United's prospects of pressing Atletico's hand on Trippier become.
Teams in the Spanish league are hoping to reach an agreement with the league and have players signed before Brexit exempted from the regulation. However, it remains to be seen whether this will materialize.
