Manchester United have agreed on personal terms with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho ahead of a possible summer transfer, according to The Mirror.
The Red Devils were heavily tipped to sign him last summer but were put off by the Bundesliga club's £108 million asking prices.
They've rekindled their pursuit of the England international, and they're getting closer to signing him with contract terms already agreed upon.
A fee of around £81.5 million could be sufficient to close the deal. Dortmund wants a large chunk of the money upfront, but United is hoping to work out an instalment plan.
From the perspective of a sports photographer:
United failed to negotiate a price for Sancho last year, but with his contract expiring in two years, they could now sign him for less.
After missing out on a transfer during the previous summer transfer window, the Manchester City graduate is eager to join them.
The club still needs to finalize payment terms with Dortmund and will need to act quickly given Chelsea's reported interest.
The Blues are aware of Manchester United's long-term pursuit of Sancho, but they want to remain in the running for the versatile attacker.
After spending £225 million on new signings last summer, the European champions have the financial clout to compete with United.
Sancho would give United an upgrade on the right-wing, where they have struggled to find a consistent source of goals and assists.
He is coming off another strong season for Dortmund, where he scored 16 goals and assisted 20 times in 38 appearances across all competitions.
