He fianlly moves up a division after signing with Burton

Cameron Borthwick-time Jackson's at Manchester United did not go as planned, but we continue to watch his progress.

Under Louis van Gaal's management, the teenage left-back broke into the Manchester United first squad in 2015/16 and momentarily seemed like a great potential.

ON'T MISS:

Jose Mourinho did not share this opinion of the child, and he was loaned out several times. After failed moves to the Championship with Wolves and Leeds, he was forced to drop farther down the football ladder.

Borthwick-release Jackson's was long overdue by the time he was released last summer, and it was for his own good.

He signed as a free agent with League Two club Oldham Athletic, where he had spent the previous season on loan.

Restart your career

Borthwick-Jackson was looking for stability, and he found it at Oldham.

He appeared in 35 games in all competitions last season, scoring two assists. He must have done something right during this time because he has just been signed by League One side Burton Albion.

ON'T MISS:

Borthwick-Jackson was unveiled by Burton this week, where he will pair up with Kieran O'Hara, a former United goalkeeper.

“He has tremendous potential, provided we can get it right with him, and it's a really exciting signing for us,” team manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink told the club website.

Borthwick-Jackson is now 24 years old, and the best years of his life are still to come.

After leaving United, he returned to League Two, which provided him with some stability upon which he has been able to grow. Hopefully, he can continue to progress through the divisions from here.

He made 14 appearances for United and represented England at the youth level.

He's played in over 100 games in his career and should have lots more left in him

His Manchester United career did not pan out, but it's encouraging to see that his downward trajectory has been reversed, and he's now on the rise.
