Roy Keane names two England stars who are "ready to explode" after dips in form

When it comes to representing England at Euro 2020, Roy Keane believes Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling will be back to their best.

Both attacking duos have struggled in the Premier League this season, putting their position in the upcoming international competition in jeopardy.

ON'T MISS:

Sterling's Premier League goal count of ten in the 2020/21 season was half of what he scored the previous season, and Rashford also fell short of his previous season's highs.

As the Three Lions try to get off to a solid start against Croatia on Sunday, there has been much debate on who should be picked in Gareth Southgate's first starting eleven.

With so much attacking potential at his disposal, Southgate may find it difficult to make room for Rashford and Sterling. However, Keane believes that both players should start because they both have much to show going into the competition.

When speaking with Micah Richards, he observed, "Sometimes you look at guys who have had a quiet stretch; quiet because they've established such high standards."

ON'T MISS:

"Take, for example, Rashford and Sterling. However, I believe this is a positive thing. You're thinking to yourself, 'These fellas are about to burst.'

"Gareth is a big fan of Rashford and Sterling," Keane continued.

Jack Grealish has been the one player who has wowed many supporters in recent friendly with Austria and Romania.

Throughout both games, the Aston Villa captain showed good link-up play with the attacking players and drew a lot of fouls.

Keane expressed a divisive opinion on Grealish, claiming that the 25-year-old may be overlooked due to the talent of Phil Foden and Mason Mount.

"Listen, I'm a fan of Jack. But, Micah, I believe you must be realistic if Jack is playing. "You'd have to leave Mount and Foden out," he explained.

England is presently the second-favorite to win Euro 2020, behind France, with many predicting that the Three Lions' young squad will play fearlessly during the tournament.

Keane admits to being a big supporter of England's current lineup, but believes the team will fall short of glory.

"I'm going to probably say the semi-final," he remarked when asked about the Three Lions' chances. They could be caught off guard."
