Anthony Martial placed on transfer list amid ‘terrible’ behaviour

According to rumors, Manchester United has placed Anthony Martial on the transfer list due to reports that his behavior is unacceptable.

Martial has been at the club for six years and has never truly taken off since scoring his first goal against Liverpool in his first season. It's fair to say he's had a couple of outstanding seasons, but consistency hasn't been his strong suit.

DON'T MISS:

After such a spectacular 2019-20 season, the forward had a disappointing season last time out, failing to reach double digits in goals and assists in the league.

According to Duncan Castles of The Transfer Window Podcast (via The Sun), the Frenchman's behavior has recently been "awful," and boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had enough.

Castles remarked of United's intention to add to their offensive options with a new signing:

‘If [United] get this new forward in, Anthony Martial will be sacrificed.

‘Solskjaer is fed up with his attitude and has been underwhelmed by his goal production and overall contribution to the team this season.'

DON'T MISS:

The intrepid Castles, whose claims should be taken with a grain of salt, goes on to claim that Martial has been offered a season-long loan by Real Madrid, with a buy option clause included in the agreement.

Following Edinson Cavani's blazing form, Martial has been dropped from the starting lineup for the first time since Solskjaer's arrival.

The Uruguayan striker recently signed a contract extension, and while United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for a long-term replacement, Martial's time appears to be running out.

The manager could be considering other options, such as Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

Due to a knee injury, Martial has not played since March and will miss the European Championships, which have already begun.
