Manchester United's Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher have already informed us what they should foresee from Villarreal's Unai Emery in the Europa League final.
Having captured the competition three years in a row with Sevilla, the Spaniard and his squad are preventing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from winning his first trophy as United boss.
Emery was in command of Arsenal in the Premier League for an ill-fated 18-month span.
However, the 49-year-old head coach is already well regarded in La Liga and, of course, has an unrivalled pedigree in the Europa League.
Villarreal, incidentally, earned a spot in the Gdansk showpiece alongside Manchester United, who defeated Italian opponents Roma by a resounding 8-5 aggregate score.
While Emery has since entered the final with Arsenal, only to be defeated 4-1 by Chelsea in May 2019, Solskjaer's men are favourites to win the competition they last captured in 2017.
He didn't stay long at the Emirates Stadium, too, having succeeded Arsene Wenger after 22 years in charge.
In November 2019, just before he was fired by the Gunners, former United captain Keane and fellow pundit Carragher discussed the Spaniard when analyzing a game for Sky Sports.
According to Carragher: "When he arrived, I assumed Arsenal was looking for a boss who will be more organized and realistic than Arsene Wenger.
That's what I believe Arsenal fans were expecting. If you look at his numbers, you'll see that they're all over the map. You mentioned bringing in a pragmatic coach, however, it seems that they brought in a basketball coach.
"At the moment, they are the squad that everybody likes to see - perhaps except Arsenal supporters. I said the same thing about Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp a few years ago: entertaining, goals, end-to-end play.
But for their own fans, everybody enjoys it. What exactly is Unai Emery? What are we going to get? We are not seeing what we expected to get at first."
Keane continued: "He is obviously a really good instructor with an excellent reputation. He's earned trophies in the past, so we're also talking about Arsenal's issues.
No matter how fine a coach you are, if you have players in your back four that are incapable of defending, you can concede shots and goals. I always believe Arsenal's spine is really fragile.
"Those flaws exist regardless of how fine a coach he is. He's not going to be able to repair it. When it comes to these seasoned athletes, they aren't going to shift their minds."
