Man United are in talks with FC Nordsjaelland phenomenon Kamaldeen Sulemana today in Denmark, Football Insider can exclusively disclose.
The 19-year-old forward is being pursued by Premier League giants as well as a slew of leading European clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to a United source, a club delegation has flown to Denmark to discuss a contract for Sulemana with Nordsjaelland officials.
The 20-time champions are aware that they must move quickly in order to beat Ajax to the signing of Sulemana.
United are likely to make a bid for the flexible midfielder, who can lead an assault or play out wide.
They've been holding a close eye on the Ghana international since his debut in the Danish league this season.
A bundle worth £15 million is likely to be enough to entice him to agree.
Ajax is United's main rivals for Sulemana, and their director of football Marc Overmars was in the front row to watch him play last week.
Sulemana may not have enough points to obtain a job visa under the current post-Brexit transfer laws.
That may improve this summer if the Danish league moves up one spot in the Uefa coefficients, allowing him to follow the current UK points rules, or if Sulemana makes one more successful appearance for Ghana.
After an outstanding first full season in Denmark, the youth, who entered Nordsjaelland in February of last year, has captured the attention.
In 28 games for the Danish club this season, he has ten goals and seven assists.
In other headlines, Manchester United is near to finding a deal on a fresh signing from the Premier League's big guns.
