Following his impressive loan spell at Craven Cottage, Fulham's loam star Joachim Andersen wants to ‘stay in the Premier League,' with Spurs reportedly interested.

Last summer, Andersen, 24, joined Fulham on loan from Lyon. The Dane has since appeared 31 times in the Premier League in what has been another relegation season for the Cottagers, but Andersen has impressed.

DON'T MISS:

Andersen has been a consistent source of reliability for Scott Parker's side in an otherwise underperforming side. Now, however, he appears set to return to Lyon and will be the subject of speculation this summer following his performance at Fulham.

Previous Daily Telegraph reports linked Manchester United and Leicester City with the Dane, but Express believe Tottenham's interest is ‘genuine,' and Romano's comments suggest the same.

Keeping hold of Andersen would have been a pipe dream for Fulham upon their return to the Championship, but it was always a long shot.

Parker's team has been disappointing yet again in the Premier League. During the first half of the season, they drew a lot of neutral fans with their style of play, but they frequently ran into bad luck.

DON'T MISS:

However, the second half of their season has been difficult – Fulham have won just three games since the turn of the year and are currently winless in nine, with a final day home clash against Newcastle United serving as their season finale.

Andersen will have plenty of suitors in the summer, with any of Leicester, Manchester United, or Tottenham Hotspur being excellent options for the 24-year-old who has adapted well to English football.

Spurs already have a young centre-back in their starting lineup in Joe Rodon, and with him, Andersen has the potential to be one of the best centre-back pairings in the Premier League.

What about Fulham? Parker will once again face a summer of rebuilding, and loans will almost certainly be used. Fulham, on the other hand, stands a good chance of securing a second, immediate return under their former player if he remains in charge.
