Manchester United moving quickly on Sancho; Haaland unlikely to also leave

Manchester United moving quickly on Sancho; Haaland unlikely to also leave

According to BILD, despite Bayern Munich's concern, Jadon Sancho prefers a return to England (via Sport Witness). Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United have all been mentioned as possible destinations for a large-money move to get him around, but United seems to be the frontrunner (again).

The Red Devils want to make a move for Sancho now that Edinson Cavani has been re-signed, and they want to complete a contract before the European Championships.

DON'T MISS:

They want to match Borussia Dortmund's asking price of €90 million for the 21-year-old. According to Sport1, BVB is considering PSV Eindhoven's Donyell Malen as a substitute.

If Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mané exit, Liverpool are unlikely to be able to afford Sancho, leaving only Chelsea as United's competitors in the chase.

If our concern is real, we must move quickly if we are to deter the mercurial winger from joining a domestic competitor.

DON'T MISS:

Meanwhile, Sancho's new colleague Erling Braut Haaland seems highly impossible to leave in the forthcoming transfer window, and not only because BVB is expected to finish in the top four in the Bundesliga after all.

According to Marca, the financial effect of the COVID-19 pandemic would trigger another drop in total investment this summer, and therefore no one will be willing to reach Haaland's €150m+ asking price, even with Mino Raiola at the helm.

Instead, both involved parties will be hoping to hang on before the summer of 2022, when Haaland's €75m-€100m escape provision goes into effect
