According to Louis Saha, Manchester United can only substitute Anthony Martial if they can sign a world-class striker.
According to MEN Sport, Erling Haaland is the club's top priority this summer as a long-term substitute for Romelu Lukaku.
Martial has failed to replicate his goal-scoring feats from last season, with just four Premier League goals this season. Regardless, Saha believes the Frenchman should be substituted only if a valid upgrade can be signed.
You can't get rid of Martial without replacing him, and Martial is a top player," 888sport's Saha explained. "So, if you want to choose a player over Martial, look at Mbappe, Haaland, or anything similar; otherwise, it makes no sense to let him go.
You can't only go after a player at the same caliber because he's not feeling very confident on the field right now. Since Martial is such a fantastic athlete, you must look for the major names.
"I don't believe he has the same platform as I did. That isn't an argument, but I had Paul Scholes and a generation of players who consistently won championships.

Saha claims United's lack of experience winning big trophies has affected the form of their strikers, with Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood all struggling at times this season.
"It's still difficult to compare because it's a different age and strikers had more faith in the players around them back then," he said.
"We had stars like Roy Keane and Paul Scholes: players who knew what they were doing and how to win tournaments." Now you have strikers playing in front of friends who haven't won a big award – I believe Pogba is the only one with a World Cup.
