Manchester United fans have praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for defending fans' right to boycott the Super League.
For the first time, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho talked to the media about the plan, echoing Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp's views that it was a 'bad idea.'

Solskjaer has discussed his meeting with a group of 20 fans who violated security at Carrington on Thursday, with the United manager pausing for 10 minutes to speak with the demonstrators.
It is difficult to strike the correct language to please his bosses and followers, but Solskjaer spoke with authority and justification, earning acclaim from United fans on social media.
First and foremost, I'm delighted that the fans have expressed their views and that we have listened to them," Solskjaer said at a press conference.

"And, for my part, I'm relieved that all of the clubs involved have confessed their error: this was a dumb decision, and the way it turned out was also a mistake.
We get this just when we're dreaming about attracting people back into the arena.
We were looking forward to bringing people back into the stadium for the final two games of the season, but we weren't able to do so.
But the people - we have a sign at Old Trafford that says, 'football is nothing without fans,' and we've been feeling that for a year.
It's been a tough year, but right as we're about to invite them back, this happens.
The training for the Leeds game was a little different, but that's just part of the job in this business and for this club.
We want to be a part of European football because Manchester United is the best club in the world.
They were excellent, just like my players last season.
When I speak about failure anxiety, they were afraid of missing out on the Champions League because we were too far away."
They pulled together as a team and finished seventh, which is a great accomplishment. This year, we're aiming for trophies, and we're second.
I believe my team has a good chance of finishing first in Europe.
"But I do believe the fear of defeat is assisting us in doing so, and being a sports athlete like I am and my personality is not being handed this, we cannot be handed a spot, in my opinion."
