teenager center-back
Will Fish has played with Manchester United's first team ahead of the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final against Granada.
The 18-year-old took part in Tonight's session at Carrington, with United lacking depth at the back ahead of the Old Trafford match.
DON'T MISS:
Fish has been a fixture for Neil Wood's side in Premier League 2 this season, making 17 appearances.
This week's elevation to first-team training coincides with Harry Maguire's suspension for the second leg against the La Liga side, while Eric Bailly is set to return this week after self-isolating in the Ivory Coast after testing positive for Covid-19.
Bailly is likely to be fit for the match against Granada, which United leads 2-0 after the first leg, and Axel Tuanzebe is also a possibility for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Fish is not officially on the Europa League roster.
DON'T MISS:
Shola Shoretire, 17, and Anthony Elanga, 18, who have become more frequent fixtures around the senior side in recent weeks, joined him at first-team training.
Shoretire made his debut in the last-32 tie against Real Sociedad, while Elanga was on the bench in Granada a week ago after being promoted to the Europa League squad ahead of this match.
Elanga recently signed a long-term contract with United, and Solskjaer said last week that his elevation to the first team was well-deserved.
“When he's been in school with us, he's been impressed.
"He was unfortunate two or three months ago when he got a bad injury, and he tried very hard to get back and he was only about to step into the first-team squad at the time," Solskjaer said.
He has a certain X-factor, some qualities.
It's not a blessing, but the rhythm, acceleration, and speed that he possesses are expected of wingers.
When he has the pace, he still has qualities that I like.
He's a goal-scoring winger who is self-assured.
He enjoys beating men and can finish with both his right and left foot.
“He has an appetite and a desire to change, and he hasn't been put off by training with us.
He's sure of himself.
He's not just here for the experience; he's prepared to play a role if necessary.”
In addition to Maguire, United will be without Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay today due to suspension.
