Nathan Jones does not agree with Solskjaer about Man Utd faults.


Luton boss Jones doesn't agree with the Man Utd coach after the Carabao Cup match defeat to the Reds.


Luton coach Nathan Jone doesn't agree with the Man Utd boss that his player was still lacking match sharpness in their Carabao meeting on Tuesday.


Having started their football campaign later than everyone else following their last Europa League semi-final match, Manchester United lost at Old Trafford to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that it was due to a lack of pre-season training and made just 10 changes for the 3-0 third -round league cup win at the Kenilworth Road.


Man Utd star opens the scoring with a penalty shot during the first half of the game but the Reds could not end the game until both striker Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood seal the game after coming off the bench.



However, after the clash with Luton, Solskjaer said that his men still 'need to match time' in other to improve their sharpness.


But Luton boss Nathan Jones who made nine alterations of his own refuted claims that top-flight opponents look 'leggy' throughout the game.

'I am not sure they were leggy,' Jones said. 'I think that diminishes what we did. they have not had many of a rest but I do not think finely tuned athletes will lose that much sharpness.



'Maybe at the English Premier standard they are slightly behind Crystal Palace but I don't know, I can not comment on them but if I am given £500million to spend on the market and in three and half weeks, I will prepare a team for you.

'The main thing for me is that we only made nine changes - we are definitely on one of the lowest budgets in the Champion.


'But to make just nine changes and still have the ability to compete and show the work we do every week is coming to fruition... it shows that we are in a good place -  that is the thing to take.
