Man Utd star set a new record after Carabao Cup match against Luton


Man Utd secures a win in Carabao Cup third round against Luton with goals from Mata, Rashford, and Greenwood.


The third-round game of the Carabao Cup played last night against Luton saw Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer name 10 starting changes with just the club captain Harry Maguire being the only player to maintain his position after the Red Devil's disastrous 3-1 defeat by the Eagles last weekend.


Man Utd experienced midfielder Juan Mata open the net with a fantastic penalty shot after Brandon Williams was knocked down under a reckless challenge just inside the 18-yard-box of the Luton Town.

The Match which was far from what was expected from Man United team was later sealed in the second half of the game after attacking duo Marcus Rashfoord and Mason Greenwood was added in the game.


The two strikers got on the score sheet with the England international Rashford doubling the Man United's goal in the 88th minutes of the game and Greenwood on the other hand completed the three goals in the injury time.



Rashford's goal in the match had particular significance after he became one of Unites's players to be directly involved in the most goals from the beginning of the 2019/20 season.


The 22-year-old England international has 31 goals contributed in his Manchester United attacking charts alongside the Frenchman Anthony Martial who also record 31 goals with star-boy Mason Greenwood who is 22 and Fernandes 2i goals behind.
