According to the Athletic News which claims that the Red Devils did not view center-back as a priority for the market and there is no room for change in that strategy despite Saturday's defeat.

Man United have been heavily linked with a move for the England international Jadon Sancho though ManUtd legend Gary Neville believes that the Red needs to improve their back-line first before any other thing.

'They are not going to win the Premier League title with that kind of center-back pairing. They need a defender that is mobile, quick, dominant center-back in that he can run fast and defend one on one, you are never going to win the title.

'the normal thing for United, on the back of something like this, is to react - go and sign a good player or two or three players to quell the twitter and social media voice that will definitely simmer and boil.

'it is been simmering all the week I think, particularly with Liverpool doing some pretty business in the transfer window today,  Chelsea on the other hand have done theirs in the last few weeks and still continues, Gareth Bale's going to Tottenham.

'what is still doing Manchester United back from not signing players that will bolster their squad - a talented squad?'
