Man Utd has initiated a talk with the Portuguese Outfit FC Porto over their full-back Alex Telles and are already in an advanced stage of the deal, as reported by a reputable Portuguese outlet O Jogo.
The highly-rated Porto Defender has been made available for sale around €20 million (£18m), half of his initial buyout clause worth €40 million, due to the fact that his contract with FC Porto is due to expire in June.

And with personal terms already agreed which will see the Brazilian international earn £70,000 per week, on a 5-year-contract, the only thing left is just for Man Utd to agree on a fee with the Dragons.
From a good source who assured the newspaper that talks have been going on for some time and the talk is already at an advanced stage,
the one which precedes the proposal (formal offer) that FC Porto awaits, O Jogo reports.
'The same club where Diago Dalot and Fernandes play wants to avoid an auction and speed up reinforcement of the squad, especially after losing to secure the signature of Reguilon from Real Madrid.
'In addition, due to the poor start of the Premier League season with a defeat at home against Crystal Palace which requires a quick response.'

In terms of the transfer fee being negotiated, the Portuguese press has said that FC Porto has placed a €20 million take-it-or-leave-it price tag on their defender Telles' head, which Manchester United have not reached.
The English media, by contract also claimed that United are trying to get FC Porto to come down to a figure of €25 million, which is a very discrepancy.
