Man Utd Legends dominates Alan Shearer's list of top 10 Premier League strikers

The Premier League all-time leading goalscorer has listed out his top 10 strikers.


Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer and also the former Blackburn Rovers striker has listed out his top 10 strikers of Premier League history, and with ManUtd icons dominating the list.


The all-time leading goal scorer in the English Premier League made his choices on the BBC's Match of the Day Top 10 podcast, with pundit Ian Wright and host Gary Lineker.

Alan Shearer last week ranked the top captains of Premier League, with Chelsea legend and captain John Terry topping the list and  Manchester United icon Roy Keane came second on the list.

The Reds former players were included in the list, with four of the top 10 players enjoying the best years of their career in the Premier League at the theater of dream in Old Trafford - although the fourth position was the highest-ranked by  United player.

The last position which is the tenth was occupied by Andy Cole, who scored 93 premier league goals for United,

behind Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Former Liverpool star Luis Suarez who ranked ninth and eighth position respectively on the list.

The five times Ballon D'or winner Cristiano Ronaldo was found on the seventh position But Shearer believed that Cr7 would have been placed higher if the rankings reflect the player's football career,

rather than just their seasons in the English Premier League.

'he could be out on his own, but his statistics, his ability, and performance on the pitch are ridiculous, but his two last premier league seasons were about 48/49 goals, plus that from the two seasons.'


The sixth position according to Shearer is Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, followed by another United Legend Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney, who occupied the highest position for Man Utd former players.

The Third position was Arsenal all-time goalscorer, Thierry Henry, followed by ManCity star Sergio Aguero who sat at the second position and Shearer remains the man at the top.
