'He's available': Solskjaer says Manchester United star is back from injury and could play tomorrow

Solskjaer provides an injury update ahead of the Newcastle game.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has held his pre-match press conference ahead of their return to Premier League play.

United visits Newcastle tomorrow, and Solskjaer talked to the press ahead of the game, which will be streamed live on United's official app at 1.30pm.

There were plenty of questions regarding Cristiano Ronaldo, but Solskjaer also provided an injury report on a number of players.

Some players, like Dean Henderson, Alex Telles, and Scott McTominay, are returning from injury, while Jadon Sancho was forced to withdraw from the England group.

On Wednesday night, players like Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, and Victor Lindelof were abroad with their country and inaction, and Solskjaer provided an update on a number of players.

“Dean no longer experiences the aftereffects or weariness, which is really encouraging. Telles is not yet fully recovered; he will be in a few weeks. Scott has healed fast from the surgery.

“I'm not sure if he'll play or not — most likely not, depending on who we have available. Jadon has returned with a slight injury, has trained in the previous several days, is motivated to be fit, and is available.

“Cristiano has been training all week, so he is available. Luke, Victor, and Harry haven't fully recovered, but they're also available.”

Solskjaer intimated that McTominay's participation against Newcastle could be contingent on Fred's availability.

As of now, he is prohibited by FIFA restrictions, but other South American players in the league, such as Miguel Almiron, are in the same scenario and appear poised to participate.

Sancho's decision to withdraw from the England camp has given him the best opportunity of being healthy, and he might line up on the left side of the front three tonight.
