Rennes chiefs 'annoyed' at Eduardo Camavinga agent's behaviour amid Man Utd and PSG links

Rennes chiefs 'annoyed' at Eduardo Camavinga agent's behaviour amid Man Utd and PSG links

Eduardo Camavinga, a midfielder for Rennes, is said to be a target for Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to rumors, the agent of Manchester United target, Eduardo Camavinga has irritated Rennes officials in his attempts to arrange a summer transfer for his client.

The Red Devils are said to be interested in Camavinga, who has emerged as one of Europe's best young players in recent years.

Paris Saint-Germain is also said to be keeping an eye on the midfielder as sporting director Leonardo considers a bid for his services.

Camavinga made 39 appearances for Rennes in all competitions last season, with his contributions in the middle of the park helping the team to earn a sixth-place finish in Ligue 1.

However, his current contract is set to expire next summer, and he is said to have no plans to sign a new one.

Rennes is torn between cashing in on Camavinga this month and risking losing him on a free transfer in a year's time.

His agent, Jonathan Barnett, is said to be interested in United as a possible destination if he is transferred away before the end of the month.

And it appears that the 71-year-old, who represents many of the world's most famous footballers, has been ruffling feathers at Rennes as he seeks a solution for Camavinga's future.

According to Le 10 Sport, club executives are growing tired of Barnett's antics, with owner Francois-Henri Pinault particularly irritated.

According to reports, Rennes will raise Camavinga's asking price as a result of his agent's influence, with the player's minimum worth now set at £33.8 million.

The French club's tenacity, on the other hand, may work in United's favor if the 20-time Premier League champions decide to act on their rumored interest in the young midfielder this month.

After completing a number of high-profile signings in recent months, PSG is thought to be wary about Camavinga's new asking price.

This summer, Achraf Hakimi, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Sergio Ramos have all joined the Parisian giants.

The aforementioned three have now been joined by none other than Lionel Messi, who has accepted a two-year contract offer from the Parc des Princes.

While the majority of PSG's business has been on the free agency market, they will surely spend a lot of money on wages, bonuses, and signing-on fees for their new arrivals.

Rennes' decision to boost their demands for Camavinga could allow United to rush in as a result.

Barnett has stated that several major European clubs have already expressed great interest in the midfielder's services ahead of the new season.

"Believe me, we have a lot of offers for this year, and excellent ones, I mean top, top clubs," Barnett told SNTV in May. "He is good enough [to play for a Champions League club], but we don't want to push anybody.

I am an old guy, and I've learned a lot of lessons in football as well." Playing in a reputable club is enjoyable and educational for him.

"It's possible that he wants to have another year this year; he needs to talk to his family, especially his father; we'll all get down and decide."
