The first season at Manchester United for Donny van de Beek was a disaster.
Following his £40 million move from Ajax, there was a lot of buzz surrounding the Dutchman.
However, in his first season at United, he was unable to deliver.
Van de Beek struggled to get game time in the Premier League, scoring only once in 19 appearances.
In actuality, he didn't appear to possess the physical attributes required to succeed in the Premier League.
Van de Beek has been linked with a move away from United, but according to The Athletic, the Dutchman is desperate to make a success at Old Trafford.

Van de Beek recognized that he needed to bulk up in order to cope with the demands of the Premier League, and he did so over the summer.
He's claimed to have worked up a strategy with United's medical team and strength and conditioning coaches to acquire lean muscle, and he's stuck to it to the letter.
