Manchester United has announced an agreement to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus.
Cristiano Ronaldo thanked former club Juventus in a touching statement after Manchester United sealed a deal for the former star.
After three seasons with Juventus, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will return to the club he left in 2009.
United stated on their club website: "Manchester United is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Juventus for the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to personal terms, visa and medical clearance.

"Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d'Or winner, has won almost 30 major trophies in his career, including five UEFA Champions League crowns, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven English, Spanish, and Italian league titles, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.
"He scored 118 goals in 292 appearances during his first tenure with Manchester United.
"Everyone at the club is excited to see Cristiano return to Manchester."
Ronaldo left for Real Madrid and went on to become one of the world's most prolific forwards.
However, his final chapter appears to be with the club where he developed his career from 2002 to 2009.
Ronaldo congratulated Juventus, where he scored 101 goals in 134 games, in an emotional post on social media shortly after United's announcement.
On Instagram, he wrote: "Today I leave an incredible club, the largest in Italy and, without a doubt, one of the largest in Europe. I committed my heart and soul to Juventus, and I will always love Turin until the end of my days. The “tiffosi bianconeri” have always respected me, and I have tried to repay that esteem by fighting for them in every game, season, and competition. In the end, we can all look back and realize that we accomplished a lot, not all we desired, but we still wrote a fairly wonderful story together.

"I shall always consider myself to be one of you. You are now a part of my history, just as I believe I am a part of yours. Italy, Juventus, Turin, tiffosi bianconeri, you'll always have a special place in my heart "..
On Friday morning, Ronaldo informed Juventus of his intention to leave the club and bid farewell to his colleagues in training.
The 36-year-old then traveled to Lisbon, where he will have a physical and remain for Portugal's international break.
If all of the legalities go smoothly, Ronaldo may make his second United debut against Newcastle at home on September 11.
