Manchester United is already making moves in the transfer market for next season. Following the news that the Red Devils had reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign winger Jadon Sancho, fresh information about two other targets appears to be emerging.

Leading football journalist Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that, with Sancho on the verge of signing (pending a physical), the Red Devils are now looking for a center-back and a midfielder.

DON'T MISS:

England's fullback is a flying fullback. Declan Rice compared Luke Shaw to Brazil star Roberto Carlos following another brilliant performance in the Euro 2020 victory against Ukraine.

Shaw, who had a strong season with Manchester United, has established himself as the Three Lions' first-choice option in his position, repaying Gareth Southgate's trust on both sides of the field.

Rice has playfully given him the nickname 'Roberto Shaw' because of his recent marauding runs, which saw him notch up two more assists, this time in a 4-0 demolition job in Rome on Saturday night.

The video, which was shared on England's official Twitter account, shows the two players - as well as captain Harry Kane - walking around their St George's Park training facility, their spirits still high.

Rice tried to downplay the comparisons after revealing Shaw's new moniker, saying, "It's just who's in the box, isn't it?"

He then revealed that some of his impressive numbers are due to 'H (Kane) always being in the box,' and the now-in-form ace turned to the camera with a wry smirk to refer to the left back as 'Shawberto.'

Shaw's titles may be exaggerated for comedic effect, but there's no disputing that the 25-year-old is in the midst of perhaps his best stretch of form to date.

DON'T MISS:

England romped into the final four in style thanks to a couple of inch-perfect deliveries from out wide that allowed Harry Maguire, a teammate at Old Trafford, and then Kane to plant heads.

Shaw was overlooked for the opening group stage match against Croatia, with Kieran Trippier being preferred instead, but he has since cemented his place in the starting lineup and received excellent praises in the process.

Rio Ferdinand lauded his effort to the BBC, saying, 'He's had a fantastic burst of form.' This season, he's been terrific, both in terms of his delivery and the timing of his runs in this event.

It stems from the need to reclaim the ball. He dives in defensively when it's hazardous, he's fearless, and he executes set pieces in crucial periods of the game.

'At times, it comes down to maturity, footballing talent, and so many other factors that go into becoming a player.' 'Being at the right position at the right moment, surrounded by the right management, staff, and players.'

Former England midfielder Frank Lampard, meanwhile, admitted he has been left impressed by Shaw's turnaround over the last couple of years - following his injury issues, poor form and criticism from Jose Mourinho.

'Something has clicked with him in the last 18 months,' Lampard also told the BBC.

'Sometimes you can't control injury stuff, he wasn't in the best of shape. Now he can do what you want from him.'

Shaw's swashbuckling displays are likely to see him handed a new contract at United, according to reports, because of his key role in their bid to win trophies.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that the extension is under consideration, despite him still having two years left to run on his current terms, as well as the option of a further year they can trigger.
