Nuno tells Man United the star he wants in Kane swap deal

According to Football Insider, Nuno Espirito Santo, the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, wants Jesse Lingard to be one of the two Manchester United players included in a spectacular £100 million cash-plus-players deal for Harry Kane.

Following behind-the-scenes developments, Football Insider revealed that Man United are now in pole position to capture England captain Kane, with Ole Gunnar Solskaer's side pushing hard for the striker.

DON'T MISS:

Lingard's future at United is uncertain, with only a year left on his contract, although the 28-year-old rekindled his career with an impressive loan spell at West Ham in the second part of last season.

Lingard had nine goals and five assists in 16 Premier League appearances for West Ham, who quaManchester City is said to have made an initial bid for Harry Kane, guaranteeing Tottenham at least £100 million for the England striker.

The city was also apparently open to negotiating a players-plus-money deal for the 27-year-old, but Spurs turned down the offer. Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte, and Gabriel Jesus were among the players City was open to swapping.

Another day, another Kane-related rumor. After Sunday's Euro 2020 final, things will only get hotter.

Selling Kane to Man United feels a little too close to home; they're a team with whom we should be competing qualified for the Europa League as a result of his efforts.

Lingard is also a player that would add something nice to the attack, but not at the expense of Kane
