Manchester United has announced that four academy players will receive new jersey numbers for the 2021/22 season.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the team's numbers for Monday's first training session are likely to stay the same.
DON'T MISS:
The first pre-season training session featured several academy players, while several first-team regulars were still on holiday or competing in international tournaments.
Last season, Teden Mengi, James Garner, Facundo Pellistri, and Tahith Chong were all on loan, but they all attended the AoN Training Complex for the first session.
DON'T MISS:
Joe Hugill, who had previously been seen wearing the number 89 shirt, nearly cut his squad number in half by showing up with the number 52. In May, Anthony Elanga wore number 56 on the back of his debut shirt, but currently, he wears number 36. Dylan Levitt wore no35 instead of no63 because he returned early despite being involved in Euro 2020.
Shole Shoretire, another youngster who made his debut last season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has moved from number 74 to number 47. Manchester United's first summer addition, Tom Heaton, was pictured wearing number 22.
