Manchester United ‘willing to pay to sign player – Club already lining up replacement

According to the report, Juventus is considering bids for Mehri Demiral, who Atalanta wants to replace Romero if he leaves once his move becomes final.

That's where Manchester United enters the picture, with reports claiming the Red Devils are still willing to pay €45 million for the centre-back.

To us, it appears that those in charge of deals at Old Trafford have just told Atalanta that they would be willing to put that sum forward for the defender without actually doing so, possibly in the hopes of securing Varane.If they don't, they'll look to the Argentine for Harry Maguire's long-awaited partner.
