Fabrizio Romano reveals Man United closing in on signing £25m French wonderkid

Manchester United's chase of Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is said to be "progressing."

According to top football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils' administration has long been fans of the Frenchman.

DON'T MISS:

Camavinga, 18, has been a member of Rennes' youth program since 2013.

Camavinga has progressed through the club's youth ranks to become one of his team's most important players.

The highly-rated teenager has gone on to play in 82 senior appearances across all competitions after an extremely promising debut.

Most intriguingly, with only a year left on his present contract and no hint of renewal, there are mounting fears that the midfielder could be on the verge of a major summer departure.

Despite being linked with a spectacular move to Paris Saint-Germain, Romano claims that it is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United who are leading the race to recruit him.

Eduardo Camavinga is being pursued by Manchester United through direct contact. #MUFC is

an acronym for Manchester United Football Club.

Rennes would be willing to work out a deal for a €30 million fee if it meant losing Camavinga for free next summer. 🇫🇷

He's a long-term goal for Manchester United, and PSG has always been intrigued.

Romano claims that a deal within the region of £25m (€30m) could be on the cards.

This news comes just days after the club announced they have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for winger Jadon Sancho.
